SPECIAL NEEDS TUITION
Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Aspergers and ADHD
Learning to drive with special needs can be
a very daunting feeling, but with the right
approach it can be made a lot less stressful
on all concerned with the right driving
school.
I have had first-hand experience teaching
people with these conditions.
The first thing any pupil wanting to drive
with special needs has to do is tell their
driving instructor that they have a condition
because it will cost them less in the long run
and also be a lot less frustrating for both
parties.
Dyslexia candidates can also apply to have
up to double the standard time for their
driving test. They need to ask when
applying for their test. A letter or report from
a professional should explain their reading
ability i.e. from a teacher, psychologist,or
local Dyslexia Association officer. They will
have to phone again for a test date after the
report has been processed.
Please give me a call if you wish to talk
about any other learning difficulties that I
haven't mentioned.
